Anne Hathaway Is The Newest Versace Muse

Throughout their 45 years of existence, Versace has had many celebrity ambassadors to endorse and encourage sales, however, none quite like their latest.

After dipping her toes into the high fashion world with an ongoing partnership with Bulgari, Anne Hathaway, no doubt encouraged by her stylist Erin Walsh, has been announced as the latest face of Versace. Sleek, always put together and effortlessly timeless, Hathaway has become a real style symbol pulling look after incredible look. Most recently she dazzled in a black mini dress and towering platform boots at the FW23 Versace runway extravaganza in Los Angeles. In the last few weeks alone she has donned Valentino as well as Alaïa. It’s safe to say that Anne has gone through a somewhat similar style transition as Andy Sachs did!

“She is a woman after my own heart,” said Donatella Versace about Hathaway to Vogue while discussing their partnership and the brand new Versace Icons Collections for which Hathaway is the face. Aiming to neatly package Versace’s most famous and evergreen moments, the new collection offers an approachable sartorial aesthetic. Perhaps this is what makes Hathaway the perfect choice. Confident, secure and unfussy, Hathaway wears every look with desirable ease. A pair of classic denim jeans worn with a sculptured black bustier top (of course with classic Versace gold detailing) could quickly look forced or too thought through, but on Hathaway it is uncomplicated. It is simple, yet masterfully effective. It is a modern Versace for the modern woman who honours her style.

Anne Hathaway has described the Versace Icons collection as “timeless elegance with an edge” adding that Donatella has “been so incredibly welcoming and supportive of me.”
